Things have been crazy, but my summer class is finally over with, so I've got the rest of the summer to devote to work. Didn't do much on the actual dolls today, instead we just kind of got back into the swing of things by reorganizing the fabric drawers and our work table, did some clerical work (I need a secretary, for srs.) and made up checklists, etc etc. Also went over what we had and what we needed and started putting together fabric orders.
Tomorrow I plan on painting the gnome's top and getting the body stuffed, and Sardonyx'll probably get the head sewn on.

So, apparently Freewebs is doing maintenance and junk, so I can't update the site over there. I'm not even sure if the site is accessible now that I think about it. I'll just post here for now.
First off, a note about our personal lives. Things have been pretty... eventful. There was a death in the family recently, and I'm on my last two weeks of government class with about 10 chapters still to read, so... updates haven't been coming as fast as we'd like, and we apologize. I feel bad for not getting things out quicker, but really, other plush artists take longer than we do, so I guess we're still doing okay.
Gnome warrior: Body is constructed, head is constructed. Boots are done and on the feet, pants are done and on the legs, part of the gloves are done and on the hands. The body is only half-stuffed right now, because I need to put the top on before I can finish stuffing it. The top is constructed for the most part, it's just missing the painted designs on the front and back, which I've been trying to get done. After that, we've still got to sew on little things and the shoulder pads and the decorations on the gloves, etc. It's comin' along, basically.
Night elf: Body and head are both constructed now. We finally worked out that ear pattern, and it looks pretty damn good, actually. We're going to concentrate more on the clothes as soon as the gnome goes out.
Blood elf female: Head and body are constructed now that we've worked out that ear pattern. Will concentrate on clothes when we can.
Dark elf: Head and body are constructed.
Illidan: Head and body are constructed, except the body is minus wings.
Blood elf male: Head and body are constructed.
Atton Rand: Head and body are constructed.
Spock: Nothing, unfortunately, still trying to find some blue jersey in the right color.
Draenei Priest: New order. Nothing done so far, I think we're still looking at fabrics.

Gnome Warrior: has body and head constructed. After the basic construction is done on the rest of the orders, we'll start working on this one's clothing. Oh, and the shield is carved! I had my dad do that this weekend, and it looks pretty good so far. I'll have to prime it and paint it fairly soon.
Night Elf: Body constructed, head pieces cut out. We needed a new ear pattern for all the WoW elves, so I got that done today, but it might take a little experimenting to get it just right.
Blood Elf F: Body constructed, head pieces cut out. Can't put the head together until we know if the new ear pattern works.
Dark Elf: Finally got the thread switched, so this one has its body constructed, and the head is halfway constructed since it uses our normal elf ears. Due to color issues, we had to use a new fabric on this one, but I'm liking this butter suede, it's just as nice as the flannel we usually use.
Illidan: Body is constructed, and has a hole in the back seam for wings to go in later. We still need to work out a pattern for those, and find what fabric to use, but this guy is fairly far down the list anyway.
Blood Elf M: Body constructed, head cut out. Can't put the head together until we know if the new ear pattern works.
Atton Rand: Body and head constructed. Got this one done when we did the gnome since they used the same skin fabric and it's dumb to switch thread all willy-nilly just to do things in order.
Spock: New order. We probably shouldn't be taking more orders... But I had quoted for this one before all the WoW stuff, so I'd feel bad saying no. Anyway, nothing done on this one, and we still need to find some blue jersey. Fabric.com has failed me...
To think we started out taking five at a time. Jesus. Well, if we get to 10 orders paid for, then we're definitely going to stop taking new ones and concentrate on just getting orders out. Or so I have been assured by Sardonyx.

Gnome: still head and body put together. We're going to start on clothes after we've mass-produced heads and bodies for the rest of the orders.
Night elf: body is constructed, head is cut out. We need a new elf ear pattern for these, so we can't put the head together just yet.
Blood elf female: body and head are cut out except for, again, we need a new elf ear pattern. Had to dye some fabric for the blood elves, we ended up dunking some pink flannel in tea for a couple of minutes to make it more flesh tone-ish, since blood elves aren't really very pale.
Dark elf: head and body are cut out.
Illidan: head and body are cut out, body is partially constructed. We would have put this one's body together today while we still have the night elf colored thread in the machine, but we need to attach the wings in the back seam, so body construction will have to wait for a little while on this one.

I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. I thought the moment I was done with school for the summer, things would be a-okay and stress-free and I'd have plenty of free time to work. ...Notsomuch. We're trying, but family stuff keeps coming up, and my little brother gave me a horrible cold (damn him), so things aren't going as quickly as I'd hoped.
The gnome's head and body are both constructed, but other than that, we've just got head and body pieces cut out for the rest of the orders. Hopefully those will get put together soon.

Finals are almost over. I just took my history final earlier today and I've got a Maya final (and practical DD: ) in about an hour and a half. After that, we should have more time for working and should be able to get things out faster.
Alastair and the twins were shipped out on Friday.
Nothing done on anything else.
Still waiting to hear from Sisters and Daughters re: the peach robe velour we ordered for the blood elves' skin. They're not answering our phone calls, haven't taken money from us, and haven't let us know what's going on. They said they'd be getting their fabric in in a week, but that was... two weeks ago. Sardonyx is going to try calling them from a different phone number, in case they're just not answering because they recognize our home phone number, but I don't know, we're probably going to have to find an alternative. So far, no other fabric store has the color we're looking for, so we'll probably have to try dying some stuff ourself. I'll keep ya'll posted on how that goes. =/

Alright, life's been hectic lately. It's gotten down to the last three weeks of class before the semester is over for me, one of those weeks is finals week, and I'm so busy. I've got a Maya final and a Flash final to finish, still, on top of all this work.
The twins are getting close to being finished. They're down to needing faces, hair, fingers, and hats. We had some glitches with the hat pattern, but we've worked that out (aka got a new one from the pros at McCalls) so these two should be done within the week.
Alastair's at about the same percentage as the twins, he just needs face, hair, fingers, and his ear protectors, which we have a good idea of what we're going to do for those, so I don't think they'll cause many problems.
Everyone else still 0%, sorry. D: We've gotten fabric from all the places we've ordered from EXCEPT Sisters and Daughters, because THEY haven't gotten THEIR shipment yet and can't send us our order for another week, at least. Which means we've got no peach colored fabric for the blood elves on the list. God, I've never had so much trouble with ordering something online before, I really haven't. Fabric.com is fantastic about shipping stuff out fast, but they don't always have what we need, which is a bummer; this was one of those cases. So, I'm really, really sorry about the lack of progress on all the WoW/etc plushies, but after these top two orders go out, we'll probably get started on bodies and heads for all the rest of the orders (ASSUMING that Sisters and Daughters gets us our freaking robe velour that we ordered, god, how long ago? Urgh.)

Draenei was shipped off on Wednesday.
Sardonyx is working on the twins' tank tops, so those should be done pretty soon. I think we have a decent pattern for their jackets, so that'll get done sometime this weekend.
Alastair's t-shirt is done, and we've got a pattern for his coat, so that should get done sometime this weekend.
Our shipment of fabric from Fabric.com has arrived, but we're still waiting on fabric from Fashion Fabrics Club and Sisters and Daughters. The FFC order has been confirmed and paid for, I think we're just waiting for it to arrive, but the skin fabric I ordered for the blood elves from Sisters and Daughters... Well, they /just now/ confirmed the order, so we have no clue when it's going to get here, which annoys me. I hate ordering from places other than fabric.com (and Mendel's for fur). I guess no other places are quite as competent. :< Sucks.

It doesn't /look/ like we did anything today, but trust me, we did. Certain spring cleaning type things had to be done, etc, so we can get ready to finish these three OC plushies and then get started on the WoW type plushies.
Things we did today:
* Re-organized our fabric drawers (which took longer than you'd think, we have a /lot/ of fabric)
* Took an inventory of our fabric (so we can decide what we need and what we have easier)
* Put fabric for the orders we have into our current projects drawer and cleaned the stuff from previous orders out of the current projects drawer
* Worked on tank-top and coat patterns for the OC twins
* Took good pictures of the Draenei Paladin
* Boxed up the draenei to be shipped later today

Nekky has returned to her LJ. It's probably important that I keep this updated since I've got so many orders on the list, but sometimes I just can't find the time to do more than update a percent and add a couple of words to the FW site.
Draenei is finished. I finished her up today. She's all dressed and stuffed and her face is painted (and /adorable/). Her hair is glued on and I'm waiting for that to dry before I take the pins out. Everything that belongs on her clothing has been sewn on. Her sword is done. Her book is done. Her cape and gloves and belt are done.
Did I mention that I'm excited that she's /done/? xD I think she looks fantastic, personally (Obviously, since I wouldn't even /consider/ shipping out something that I didn't think looked good.). So she should be ready to go out soon.
The OC twins are coming along. Their heads and bodies are put together, their feet are embroidered, and Sardonyx made their pants the other day.

I haven't updated in two weeks. For that, I apologize. D: I'm juggling school, film, work, and now Perfect World International (which is worse than World of Warcrack.)
Draenei plushie is coming along pretty well. Her body is done, tail and hooves and everything, and she has the basic parts of her clothing on (skirt, top, part of the gloves). All the clothing still needs detail work like the vinyl decorations and chains and beads, etc. I made her belt out of vinyl, gems, and an awesome rose-shaped button for the medallion, and that's ready to go on. The gloves still need the vinyl parts, and she still needs the shoulder pads with all the fancy stuff on it. The daggers for the shoulder pads are carved and primed and ready to paint, as is the sword. Her head we recently finished. It's unstuffed right now, but it's got the tentacles and horns on it and it's ready to stuff when I get the chance. Pretty soon her head will get attached to her body.

Short update is short. Three hours of filming = tiring. Although it was kind of fun, someone put me in a headlock on camera.

Again, I've been terrible about updating. I've been kind of busy lately with class and with my brother's projects for this contest he's entering. I even socialized some with my peers the other day! Omg.
Updates:
Hakkai was shipped out on Friday.
Mori is now put together and stuffed and dressed, and he just needs his fingers needle-sculpted, his hair done, and his face painted.
Coishi is taking longer still because he was added last-minute. He's got his body and head put together, his pants done, his tank top done, and his foot embroidered and that's it. He still needs his jacket, the embroidery on the jacket, and to be stuffed and put together.
Haven is rapidly nearing completion. Sardonyx got his jacket done and it's adorable, really. I stuffed him today and she attached his head to his body, so now all he needs is his face painted, his hair done, and his fingers needle-sculpted.
New order, a draenei paladin from World of Warcraft. We haven't gotten started on her yet, but I think she's going to be both a challenge and really cool. So we're both simultaneously looking forward to it and dreading it. It's a really cool design though, there's going to be a lot of detail and satin and craft gems and stuff, and it's going to be so cute.

Because I'm SO awesome about updating this. Gah. Sorry about that, folks.
Alright, Hakkai. Hakkai is mostly completed except for his hair and his playing card. I was going to try to finish his hair last night, but eh, never got around to it. I doubt it'll get done tonight, maybe tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try and get him shipped out before or on Friday.
Mori. His clothing is all done except for the tie and belt buckle, which can't go on yet anyway, and I still need to paint the crest on the blazer. After that's done, I can stuff him, Sardonyx can attach the head to the body and put his tie on, etc etc. Once that's done, I'll need to send out a face sketch for approval, and after I get that back, I can finish him up.
Coishi was added last minute to the order, so it's... very not-done. The body and head pieces are cut out, basically. I thought we were going to have to switch to the new fabric for this one, but Sardonyx actually managed to cut out all the necessary pieces from the last sad bit of flannel we still had, so he's going to be the same color after all. (Though there's nothing wrong with the new skin tone fabric, it's still flannel, it's just a bit paler than the old stuff. We literally can NOT find any of the old stuff for sale, probably because I guess everything in its dye batch is gone. =/ Oh well.)

His jacket is going to be awesome though, we got a nice black suede with a slight pattern. It's soft, but it's fairly smooth, too, and it's just really nice stuff.
Sigh. Anyway, any new dolls ordered after these are done will be made of our new skin fabric, so it won't be /exactly/ the same, but you can really hardly tell that there's a difference. The new stuff is just a tiny bit paler.
In other news. Flash today. Omg. The Brother and I will definitely be making some interactive flash stuff for his TSA contest websites. There is no way this child is going to come home from the next conference without a 1st place trophy for his web stuff. /excited

Sigh. Anyway, any new dolls ordered after these are done will be made of our new skin fabric, so it won't be /exactly/ the same, but you can really hardly tell that there's a difference. The new stuff is just a tiny bit paler.
In other news. Flash today. Omg. The Brother and I will definitely be making some interactive flash stuff for his TSA contest websites. There is no way this child is going to come home from the next conference without a 1st place trophy for his web stuff. /excited

Didn't get the chance to update yesterday, but we made some progress.
Hakkai has all of his clothing except headband and shirt done, so tomorrow first thing I can stuff the body and head and Sardonyx can get them attached.
Mori has his white shirt done, and the pattern for the blazer is all ready to go, so I think Mom was going to try and put that together today so I can paint the crest tomorrow, put it on, and stuff the head and body. If we're feeling ambitious, we might get Mori's head attached to his body tomorrow, also, which means I'll have to do face sketches pretty damn soon.
And we've gotten a new one to add to the lineup, an OC named Haven, which we haven't gotten started on yet, but we did get the fabric for it yesterday. Got some nice black suede with a very slight print for the jacket, and some yellow fleece for the hair. Everything else we already had in stock.
...God that sounds weird. 'In stock'. Although our fabric stock certainly HAS taken over a lot of drawers in the house. Thankfully we found an old unused dresser in the laundry room to store all the fleece in, because that's the bulkiest stuff. On top of those four drawers with fleece, we've got other miscellanious fabrics in another dresser taking up three drawers. This whole plushie-making thing started out as a hobby. Now it's taking over. And I don't even really mind.
Whee, I had coffee this morning. I hope my history teacher has a sense of humor. My answer to the bonus question (Which of the 13 colonies would you have liked to live in?) included 'Philadelphia for the city because it was the future home of the Philly cheesesteak.' And I included in my definition/identification of Amerigo Vespucci that he was a pickle merchant. (No lie. He was. I lern gud frum Good Eats.)

Didn't get the chance to update the livejournal yesterday, so I'll go ahead and do that now, since I have a few minutes. (Yay for my speech class getting out early! Lol like no one showed up to do their speeches. Ridiculous.)
Anyway, yesterday we got quite a bit done on both orders. We got heads and bodies put together for both, and now they need to be dressed and stuffed. I think Sardonyx is going to try to put together both pairs of pants today, but I'm not sure if she'll get that done or not. If not, it'll get done tomorrow, I'm sure. Friday's another work day, although I really do need to work on some of my homework this weekend. (Damn you, flash animation.) But yeah, I think we've made pretty good time so far. Expect some more updates tomorrow.

Looks like it's back to work for us. It's a bit difficult to switch from lazy mode to super-busy mode again, though, so we haven't gotten much done... The bottom of Hakkai's foot was embroidered today, it's looking really pretty, and I think Sardonyx might be able to get Mori's foot embroidered today, also (after I get home). Tuesday, probably nothing will get done. Nothing at all. Unless Sardonyx feels ambitious and works on putting bodies together, but I wouldn't count on it. Wednesday, though, Wednesday we're back to work at full-speed.

All our orders are finished. I sent out pictures, got the troll approved... And I've got nothing to work on in the morning. :o It's a strange feeling indeed. So I will probably stop posting until I actually have something to post progress on, I'm not the journaling type and no one really cares anyway. xD

Don't worry, don't worry, we've been working. I might even finish both of my orders tonight! ...It's kind of strange that we haven't had any more orders recently. Maybe after the list clears out... Or if not, we can just do plushies to sell pre-made.
Right now, the Troll Shaman is fully dressed, and just needs her face and her hair, and I need to do a little more painting on the totem. Oh, and paint her toenails, I have to do that, too. She will probably most certainly be done tonight.
Mireille still needs her top, face, and hair. Sardonyx is going to work on her top after dinner tonight, and I'm going to paint her face right after the troll's, while I still have paint out. Then I might get her hair done tonight, I'm going to try at least. After that, she'll just need her heart and rose sewn to her hands.
As it stands, I'm pretty damn sure both of these are going to ship out on Monday. And then I won't have any more orders to work on. =o Unless a couple of the people who expressed interest in ordering come through. If not... Oh well, we'll just do some personal projects or ebay projects.
LATE EDIT: Troll is done, just waiting on the glue to dry. Mireille's top is done, her belt is cut out, and I sculpted her belt buckle, it just needs to be painted. All that's left on her is to put her belt on, and do her face and hair. And sew her little accessories to her hands.
